Dubai in numbers

Property

Currently, Dubai is one of the most desirable cities in the world to buy real estate, partly due to the impressive architecture, pleasant climate, and the attractive (lower) square meter price of real estate in Dubai. For comparison:

Dubai $5.918
Tel Aviv $17.149
Geneve $16.467
Hong Kong $28.570
Paris $15.867
Londen $26.262
Tokyo $16.322
New York $17.191
Berlin $7,325

The price increase of real estate in Dubai is also significantly higher than in other major global cities: Dubai 5.19%, New York 2.9%, London 2.7%, Singapore 2.5%, and Hong Kong 2.4%.

In 2021, real estate in Dubai experienced a peak year: A record 61,241 transactions took place with a total value of 151.07 billion Dirham. This is the highest since 2013. The value of all 24,761 developed projects combined in 2021 was no less than 45.5 billion Dirham. Foreign investments also did very well, and in 2020, 19,757 transactions took place with a total value of 35.6 billion Dirham.

Tourism

Dubai tourism statistics show tremendous growth every year. In 2007, Dubai was visited by about 7 million tourists. In 2010, this number was 8.7 million travelers, and in 2011 increased to 9.3 million tourists. Now, over 10 years later, tourist visits have more than doubled. In 2018, 15.9 million tourists visited Dubai. However, this number continues to multiply. Dubai was named the number one vacation spot in the world at the beginning of 2022.
